Amanda (YOU ARE HERE!)

You MUST post a comment here on the SSD blog to be eligible to win the new release images.

This is my project from the newest release...sorry for the not so great photo...I had to take it with my cell phone (thank goodness for camera phones!). The batteries in my camera died this week! :(

I cut the bag with my Cricut. It is a shower favour...it holds little packages of kleenex. I'm thinking this little bag will be making an appearance a lot. This was the first time I used it. It's a simple project but I wanted the cute little pregnant girl to be the focus of the favour.

Gift Bag Donation for Zeal for Teal Crop - April 30th!

This is one of my donations for our Zeal for Teal crop (we're still looking for donations BTW if you are a business and would like to sponsor us for door prizes/silent auction items - shameless plug there! Or if you are wanting to sign up as a cropper, please let us know soon...we're almost 90% full! That's almost 100 people!)

So this is what I'm donating for a silent auction item. I wanted to represent the 3 INCREDIBLE design teams I'm on! I LOVE designing for each of them! It's so exciting!

The first set is from Clear Dollar Stamps.
These are two more cupcakes from the newest release!

This one is from Sassy Studio Designs
Tinkerbell is from the March release. (March 12th)

This one is from The Stamping Boutique
These are two separate images.
I just love that he's wearing a pink shirt
and not complaining about it! (wink wink!)

And lastly, this is created using my Cricut.
The sentiment on it is cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge.
Of course, the button blossoms are from In A Scrap Creations (my store!)

Thanks for taking the time to look at my creations. I put my heart and soul in my work and I hope it pays off in the end.  I hope this brings in a good amount of money for Ovarian Cancer Canada.

CIC #23 @ CDS & Digi Day Sponsor - SSD

This is a double duty post today!
I've got two design team projects to post!

CIC23
First up is for Clear Dollar Stamps - it was a CIC#23 - a colour challenge this time around...we had to use the colours above to create our cards...I used the Bunny Slippers set because, well, they were the right colours! And because I loved this adorable set!

All the papers minus the black cardstock are from the set. That's what I love about these sets Laurie creates. She usually has some designer papers to go along with the digital images.  This set is no exception!
You don't have to use these exact colors if you don't have them, just come close! You've got 2 weeks to strut your stuff using these colors.

Here are the details of the CIC challenges:
-Challenges are now going to be on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month, and you'll have 2 weeks to finish each challenge.
-Challenges can use any stamps or digis from any company
-Only one entry per person per challenge
-Prizes will be given away after both challenges for the month.  The number of prizes is determined by the number of participants for the month.  For every 20 entries there will be a $10 gift certificate for stamps or digis up for grabs.  (For example if over the entire month there were a total of 60 participants in both challenges, there will be 3 $10 gift certificates and 3 of the featured digital images to give away.)
-We will also be giving away the featured digi image....one for every 20 entries!

**************************************************************

And this one is for Sassy Studio Designs. We're sponsoring Stamp Something, a challenge blog...you'll have to check it out once they've got the new challenge posted to see what you can win from SSD!

Our challenge was to use a digital image! Not too hard, eh! I chose to use the Wicked Witch from the West. The inside of it says "Hope things get better soon".  I didn't know what else to use this image for except something UGLY! I didn't want it looking too Halloween-y!

I tried to "ugly" up the papers by distressing them with my distress tool and inks and faux stitching. The sentiment I came up with! I used the "hello my pretty" phrase from the Wizard of Oz movie..I had to tie it in somehow and thought this would be a perfect way to do it.

Thanks for stopping by today to check out my cards! I need to get off the computer now and get ready for a workshop/show tomorrow! YIKES!

It's a Sassy Day!

We're sponsoring The Outlawz today and the challenge is to use your favorite colour combo...I like pink, teal and brown together so I decided to use it for my card today!

The brown cardstock is embossed and the ribbon is from a new kit being sold in my store as of Sunday! The image can be purchased here

Sassy Studio Designs Sponsorship

Today Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring The Crazy Challenge blog and the theme is Here Comes Spring!

I instantly thought of this cute little bunny for my card today! The colours I tried to keep light and bright and flower-y. The background is actually Basic Grey fabric squares and the brads (see close-up) is a custom made brad from In A Scrap Creations. I make these now! I got a new toy/tool! So if you need customized brads, please email me! I used the same fabric as the background for the brads, just in pink.

Here is the close-up of the brads.

Thanks for checking out my post today!
Watch for another one about the new challenge going on at The Stamping Boutique!

DTBT Sassy Studio Designs Feb 24th

It's Thursday again and that means it's Dare To Be Thursday at Sassy Studio Designs! This week's challenge is to make a "shape" card...so make a card that's NOT a rectangle!

I did a circle card...I almost didn't have this done on time! I thought I had an extra day (silly Family Day holiday got me all screwed up!)  Anyways, I whipped this one up last minute last night (thank goodness I had some images pre-coloured!) This is a new image in the SSD Store. Check it out!

For the Girls @ Stamps R Us!

Photobucket

Today's challenge at Stamps R Us is to create projects with a "For The Girls" theme. This is my card...it's Eliza Doolittle all dressed up ready for the races! I just LOVE this image! It's my favorite from this February release! I just love it! Maybe because "My Fair Lady" is one of my favorite movies too!

Anyways, you have two weeks over at Stamps R Us to do this challenge! I'd get your entry in to win the amazing prize pack from Sassy Studio Designs!

Day 11 Tag

On the 11th day of Christmas, the design team gave to me...

A tag made with 11 buttons!

I thought I should get here to post this before the day is done! I've been knee deep in Christmas shopping and cleaning but I wanted to post today's tag!

I used the mini buttons from Basic Grey for my embellishments for this tag...these buttons are so cute! I sometimes lose them very easily but they make for cute, little additions to my projects.

Hope this inspires you! Watch for tomorrow's tag! The last one in the reveal!! Thanks for checking them out!

Cheerio!

Day 6 Tag

It's Day 6 at Sassy Studio Designs for the 12 days of tags!  This is mine. Today's prompt is using 6 patterns. I've got the five pattern papers and the embossed tag for the 6th pattern. Don't you just love this image? She was a lot of fun to colour with all that hair! It was fiddly with the PSE but I figured out how to get zoomed in and colour the small spots!

Also, Sassy Studio Designs is having a design team call! You can find all the details here. Don't hesitate to get your application in. You will love working with these images!!

Day 3 Tag

On the third day of Christmas, the Sassy Studio Designs design team gave to me....

A tag using 3 pearls!

If you've been following my blog, you've seen Day 1 & 2's tags...today is a tag using 3 pearls. I made a tag set. Hopefully my mom doesn't look at my blog today because this is for her for Christmas! (Sh! Don't tell!)

The set I made has 3 pearls on the actual tag and I made a matching gift bag with the new "Nutcracker" image.  Don't you just love the Sugarplum paper? It's from a digital freebie I got a long time ago and I've been WAITING to use it!
It's PERFECT for this image!

I've been colouring my images with Photoshop this month. Just makes it simplier for printing out this many images!  I put a pearl on her dress to collate the tag and bag.

Hope you like it! Thanks for checking out my blog today!

Hazzard Country Challenge

So 2 of my friends who just happen to be scrappy friends as well started a challenge blog called Hazzard County Card Challenge!! I don't think you need to channel the Dukes or wear short shorts (feel free to if you want though!)...I think you're supposed to step out of the box and get creative!! Be HAZARDOUS in your creations!

Well this past month's challenge is using Black, Grey/Silver, Blue and White for a Christmas card...well, I know it's December already but only day 2 so I'm still throwing my hat in for the challenge! :D

I learned how to colour using Photoshop...let me say it saves me some time! I had at least 12 images to print off for the 12 days of tags at Sassy Studio Designs so I needed to get them coloured FAST! This was an extra print-off! Hope you like it! The background paper is the freebie from last month's release created by Larisa Hohman...my fellow Sassy Sistah on the design team!

Thanks for checking it out!

Ovarian Cancer Button/Sponsor Us!

The Sunflower Seeds are hitting the waterfront in Northern Ontario on Sunday morning! Mom, the kids and I are heading out to the Winners Walk of Hope for our third year in a row. We started doing it 2 years ago when Mom had almost completed her chemo. We've seen a lot happen in the last 2 years and we're happy to say, Mom was able to experience all of it with us! If you'd like to sponsor me or my kids, that would be great...

So, the button! It is created with an image from Sassy Studio Designs AND when you purchase this image from the SSD store, $1 gets donated to the cancer society. Can't beat that, eh? There's a couple others there too! Check them out! I've used this image QUITE a few times. I got this idea one day when I was cleaning out my stash! So, on Sunday, I put it to good use!

SSD Sponsors Etsy Inspired!

We are sponsoring Etsy Inspired Challenge.

The shop that they are using for this challenge is:    http://www.etsy.com/shop/loverdoversclothing

They have some super cute retro aprons in there. The idea behind this challenge is to find something in the shop to use as inspiration for your creation!

Here's the inspiration for me

(I LOVE THIS DRESS!! If it wasn't almost $50, I'd buy it for my daughter!)

Here's my card...I used the colours from the dress and the tulle (thank goodness I had some leftover from the wedding reception I decorated for.)
Rumpelstilzken was SO much fun to colour! She has SO much hair! I LOVED colouring it! She is part of the newest release at Sassy Studio Designs!

Thank you for checking it out! Watch later on for some TSB news!!
