Release Day today!

I do admit...I'm not a Twilight fan...honestly, I've never read the books...I've never seen the movies...I know the gist of them...but I've never seen them. I'm not on "Team Jacob" or "Team Edward"...my niece was a big Twilight fan (I'm not sure if she still is)...but Lindsay did an AMAZING job with this release. I think they look pretty accurate!

I'm donating this set for the Ovarian Cancer Canada Gala next Saturday in Barrie. I hope there are still some Twilight fans out there! (Is that phase over?) I'm still waiting for the books to come out on CD. I won't read them otherwise! (I don't have that kinda time! Have you SEEN how thick they are!?)

Blast from the Past Sassy Studio Designs Release

It's release day at Sassy Studio Designs...and seeing it's October, we've got some Halloween images to chare with you! 

Here is my "Mummy"! She's a little more edgy and sassy than the usual Mummy that you're used to, I'm sure! 

It was based on a sketch by me! Here is the sketch:

This is a close-up of my card...it was fun! I have a few more images to work with too so I'll post them as soon as possible!!! TRICK or TREAT!!!

Sassy Studio Designs - Blog Hop and Release Party!

Hello everyone!! I'm your last stop on this fun-hopping train!

Okay, so seeing this is a BIRTHDAY PARTY YAY!!!! Here is my favorite kind of cake (YUM!). You HAVE to try this cake! It's amazing...I don't eat cake but this one I WILL INHALE (yes, that's a nice visual for you, eh!). Give it a try! You will not be disappointed!!

Ingredients

CAKE
1 box Devil's Food Cake mix
1 can Cherry pie filling
2 Eggs
1 tsp vanilla

TOPPING
1 c sugar
1 Stick butter or margarine
1/4 c Evaporated milk
6 oz Chocolate chips
1/2 c Pecans or walnuts; chopped

Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix first 4 ingredients. Bake in a 9x13x2 inch pan for 30 to 35 minutes.

*** Topping ***
In saucepan, combine sugar, butter and evaporated milk.
Bring to a boil over low heat. Boil for 1 minute.
Add chocolate chips and nuts.
Immediately pour over hot cake.

Now for my release projects!

Here's what I created with this month's release images...and I know what you're saying..that image has already been released...what are you talking about? (Psstt! LOOK BESIDE THE IMAGE!) Isn't that a COOL background? Lindsay was inspired by several Alice in Wonderland posters and decided to create her own backgrounds. I loved using them this month! I created three cards with them...hope you like them!

This is a new image....Cupcake Honey! Isn't she cute! I'm thinking I'll start doing all my ribbon kits like this! I love her! :D

New Releases, Blog hop and Challenge

Hello everyone! Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends! Hope you're enjoying Canada's birthday! We're heading out later on to the fairgrounds to see what's going on!!

But till then, it's PARTY TIME and RELEASE DAY at Sassy Studio Designs! This is my first official release since being chosen for the design team! I'm so excited about this one! It's SO pretty! Lindsay has designed some amazing wedding images! All the design team members are posting their wedding photos too! :D Check out mine below! That was almost six years ago!! (In September!)

We're having another blog hop to celebrate today's release. If you want to get your hands on the new images, head over to the store. Or you can play along with the challenges today to win free images! (You can click on the logo above too and it will take you to the store!)

My Elements are:

OLD: Old K&Company papers

NEW: Ribbon and Pearls

BORROWED: I used a sketch from Pagemaps.com

BLUE: The pattern papers are blue

When Lindsay drew it, she had Cinderella in mind but when I saw the image, I saw Belle from Beauty and the Beast!

Sassy Saturday - Blog Hop and Party!

Sassy Studio Designs challenge

Sassy Studio Designs May 1st reveal happens tomorrow on National Scrapbooking Day! The new images will be up and ready for purchase as of 12am PST [so that's 3am for us EST-ers!]...the Party Blog will be up as of 5pm PST-7pm PST for the reveal and free images and mini contests and PRIZES galore!

We are also hosting a LAYOUT challenge...all you have to do is create a layout with ANY SSD image {hint hint....there's still a few FREE ones available on the blog! You might have to scroll down a few posts!}

So here are some more sneak peeks at the new release for May at Sassy Studio Designs...

I paper pieced the top portion of her top...it looks kinda tweed-ish...I really like this one! Lindsay did a GREAT job with this release...you will NOT want to miss out!

This one is inspired by Sara's daughter Chelsea and her prom dress! I got the colours wrong on the other image I coloured so I coloured one that looks like Chelsea!

And this is the every day Chelsea! I love the fact that she's in street clothes now! I paper pieced her denim skirt and coloured the rest...
