Challenge #3 at The Stamping Boutique!

It's challenge time again at The Stamping Boutique...and this is my layout for this challenge! We had to make our own flowers. So, seeing I already make these for my store, I decided to use my Button Blossoms for this layout. They are customizable to match your papers. You can match whatever you'd like!

I've been DYING to scrapbook this picture. So when I saw these papers, I knew which picture I would use!

The stamp from TSB is the spool! I cut it a bit to wrap the floss around it...and the stems are handstitched too with Bazzill stitching templates.

Here's a close-up of the flowers and the spool.

Go on over to the TSB blog and see what the other DT have created!

Gift Bag Donation for Zeal for Teal Crop - April 30th!

This is one of my donations for our Zeal for Teal crop (we're still looking for donations BTW if you are a business and would like to sponsor us for door prizes/silent auction items - shameless plug there! Or if you are wanting to sign up as a cropper, please let us know soon...we're almost 90% full! That's almost 100 people!)

So this is what I'm donating for a silent auction item. I wanted to represent the 3 INCREDIBLE design teams I'm on! I LOVE designing for each of them! It's so exciting!

The first set is from Clear Dollar Stamps.
These are two more cupcakes from the newest release!

This one is from Sassy Studio Designs
Tinkerbell is from the March release. (March 12th)

This one is from The Stamping Boutique
These are two separate images.
I just love that he's wearing a pink shirt
and not complaining about it! (wink wink!)

And lastly, this is created using my Cricut.
The sentiment on it is cut from the Sweet Treats cartridge.
Of course, the button blossoms are from In A Scrap Creations (my store!)

Thanks for taking the time to look at my creations. I put my heart and soul in my work and I hope it pays off in the end.  I hope this brings in a good amount of money for Ovarian Cancer Canada.

Sketch Challenge at The Latte Lounge

I've been asked to create sketches for The Latte Lounge, one of the online communities started by The Stamping Boutique.

I've been playing around with my Photo Shop Elements and this is what I created...

This is a challenge going on right now at The Latte Lounge.

Paula created a card from it (see below!) I love what she did with it! When I created the sketch, I had envisioned a layout but she did a great job making it into a card! I think it's so pretty!

This is the newest addition! Lagene created this spectacular beauty with various shades of pink! She did a card too which I think is funny! :D I was totally thinking layout for this sketch but these cards are awesome!

Thanks Ladies!
Great job!

Hello to all the teachers out there!

The Stamping Boutique is sponsoring "Paper Playtime" this week!
The challenge is SCHOOL DAYS!  You should check it out!

AllAboutKimberly

I posted this layout for the DT project but wanted to create a cute card with the Blackboard stamp. (which is on sale right now for $1.50)

This is my card though...I added the coffee cup oh, and I added the paper airplane...it's a run-on from Basic Grey. I thought it was PERFECT for a classroom!

So, I'm going to give this card away...all you have to do is become a follower (or post that you already are a follower)...and take a guess on how I did the "Hello"...

I'll leave this up till August 25th...(that gives just over 2 weeks!) Just take a wild guess if you don't know! If there's more than one right answer, I'll do a random draw for the winner! This could be a great way to say hello to your kids' new teachers!!

Thanks for visiting today!

Back to School Blog Hop

We're doing a blog hop at The Stamping Boutique to introduce the Back to School images that a few of you have already purchased! I can't believe some of my American friends are already talking about back to school shopping! I did buy my DS his backpack, lunchpail and a shirt for his big day!! We start JK this year so it's a big year!! I can't believe my "baby" is starting school!!

I created this layout for a photo of my son's first visit to kindergarten - without Mommy! I need to do the journalling and add the photo (I left it off for security reasons...it's got his school's name on it, etc...so I decided to leave it off!)

I used the backpack, pencil and desk stamps from The Stamping Boutique.

So now, here's your blog list:
Aletha
Amanda
April
Ashley
Have fun hopping!! Don't forget to check out the Design Team's creations on the TSB blog!

Under the Sea

This was one of the images I got when I joined the design team at Sassy Studio Designs!
Here's what I did with it! Of course, whenever I see a mermaid image, I automatically think Ariel from "Little Mermaid"! Hence the colour scheme!!

I just love her!! She's appropriately named "Mermaid Mandy"! (Maybe that's why I like her so much!) You can purchase her on the SSD Store site.
I inked all around the white cardstock and around her to create a water look. The seaweed look is just a die-cut I had lying around!
Here's the close up view of the tail...
I put the green Stickles on first, let it dry and then I hit it with the Glossy Accents and let that dry! It came out like I pictured it and I like it when that happens!!! (Sometimes it doesn't always work that way!!!)
Thanks for taking a look! "Happy Monday" everyone!! Don't forget to check back tomorrow for a blog hop you won't wanna miss out on! It's for a VERY special little girl. The Stamping Boutique is very much involved in this and we're a part of the hop starting tomorrow at 12noon! Thanks for stopping by!

Image Flipping Tutorial

I created a card for The Stamping Boutique with a flipped image and I've had a few people ask about how I did it. Here is the tutorial...for anyone that's interested! I'm using the Circus Carousel from The Stamping Boutique for the explanation. This is using Microsoft WORD for printing and flipping digital stamps.

Step One:

Pull up your Microsoft Word program. Insert your chosen image. Once you've got your image inserted, click on it to make sure it's selected and right click on it...you want to chose the Text Wrapping option and click on TIGHT. {This allows you to place the image wherever you'd like}.

Step Two:

Click on the image and copy it. Then you'll want to paste it so you have two images {It may paste it on top of the other one}.

STEP THREE:

Click on the top image and "grab" the square {the one that is circled in the picture below}. Pull this straight across until the image is flipped or mirrored. {Make sure they match cuz it might look a little funny if they don't match!}

Last Step:

Again, don't forget to text wrap the image to TIGHT and then you can move it around...you don't have to use them together...but if it suits for your card to be the other way around, then I would flip the image...

Hope this helps everyone!

This is the card I created using this technique with the Cynthia in the "shrooms" image!

Please don't hesitate to post a comment if you need more explanation and I'll do my best to explain it! Thanks for letting me share!!
