Sassy Studio Designs challenge

Sassy Studio Designs May 1st reveal happens tomorrow on National Scrapbooking Day! The new images will be up and ready for purchase as of 12am PST [so that's 3am for us EST-ers!]...the Party Blog will be up as of 5pm PST-7pm PST for the reveal and free images and mini contests and PRIZES galore!

We are also hosting a LAYOUT challenge...all you have to do is create a layout with ANY SSD image {hint hint....there's still a few FREE ones available on the blog! You might have to scroll down a few posts!}

This is amazing! I well up with tears every time I watch it...I mean EVERY time...it touches me so much and I don't know why! I don't know these people...I'm not really sure why it touches me...Mom had this posted on her blog awhile ago and my son LOVES it! I just had to share it!

Tempting Tuesday....

So here are some more sneak peeks at the new release for May at Sassy Studio Designs...

I paper pieced the top portion of her top...it looks kinda tweed-ish...I really like this one! Lindsay did a GREAT job with this release...you will NOT want to miss out!

This one is inspired by Sara's daughter Chelsea and her prom dress! I got the colours wrong on the other image I coloured so I coloured one that looks like Chelsea!

And this is the every day Chelsea! I love the fact that she's in street clothes now! I paper pieced her denim skirt and coloured the rest...

Sassy Saturday

Okay, so don't mind the picture...it's not that great...but I had to share this...I remember having one of these when I was a kid...but my mom hand-drew the face...and I LOVED it! I put my barretts all down the braids so I didn't lose them....so I thought I'd create one for my daughter...I used the "Alice" [linked to all Alice images...scroll to second page for this particular "Alice" stamp] image from Sassy Studio Designs.

Sassy Saturday

Okay, so I've decided since I've found this AMAZING digital stamp company that I'll feature my work using Sassy Studio Designs images...I've been buys! They are having a Guest Designer contest so I've been creating cards and layouts with SSD images.

This first project is a layout from Mom's Cancer Journey Scrapbook...I used the Converse Shoes image from Sassy Studio Designs. I coloured it with Copics and added the sparkles with Stickles.


And this is one of my favs! I love this cupcake paper from the Nook & Pantry collection by Basic Grey. This is the Little Alice image. Again, I coloured it with Copics. I need to get a few of my Copic markers refilled...I've been using them too much I guess!! :D

Thrifty Thursday

This isn't my idea [I wish I could take the credit for it!] but I am SO making one of these!! Thinking outside the frame for sure!!! This was taken from the Allsorts blog - Jenny B Harris is the artist...you should check it out!!!!

I think this is the COOLEST idea!! Just get three frames from the thrift store...a small vase...and a hook and a shelf and some white paint! Can't go wrong! This would make a nice wedding gift too!! :D {HHhhhmmm....maybe something to make and sell in my wedding store!!!}

Sassy Saturday

I thought this might be appropriate for the Sassy Saturday post...You have to check out this AWESOME digi stamp company I discovered a little while ago!!! It's Sassy Studio Designs...you HAVE to check them out....the store site is here...I created this card with one of the "Alice" inspired images...Oh, and I realized after I posted the picture on the Paper Craft Planet website, that I didn't colour her eyes!! She now has green eyes!!!

This card {below} was created for the challenge on the PCP group...don't mind my colouring...I'm still learning...I need to take a Copic course...anyways, you have until tomorrow noon PST to get your creation in {on PCP}...join the group and join in on the fun...also there's all kinds of fun stuff on the blog so make sure to post your comments and grab the freebies...you won't be disappointed with Lindsay's images...she's an amazing talent and I wish I had 1/2 of it!! Kudos to you, Lindsay and the SSD team!!!!!! Keep up the great work ladies!!!!!!!!


The flower basket I created because part of the challenge was to create a flower...and have butterflies were to be included on the card as well...I punched it out and had the contrasting pattern paper behind it...I wanted something different and subtle...

We had a fabulous Friday!! Lots of good food...Jay had the day off work...did a little yard work outside...enjoy the 20 something degree weather {that's Celsius for my American friends!!}...
