Thanks for checking out my submissions! Wish me luck!!

My Tiny Contest Submission #1

Here is my first entry for the "My Tiny" contest at Some Odd Girl! These digital stamps are just adorable and I have in the past thought they could look like my kiddos! Well, after MANY people saying they look like their own kids, Kristy came up with this contest...if you think your kids look like the SOGgy Tinies, create something with them and link it up with the comparison picture. You could win a great prize!

So here is my son:

I just love the Schoolboy Tobie image! I coloured it to match my son's outfit! (That's my son's first day of school!)

Please check out my next post for my second submission! :D  Thanks for checking it out!

HELP FOR KATIE & HER FAMILY!

Jak Heath is a crafting friend to Katie and has organized this special digi benefit to help raise money for Katie's Treatment and to give her lovely boys a treat too.

Who is Katie, you might ask? Katie Emmerson Renz married to Kevin with 3 beautiful boys, the twins Nate & Will, aged 5, and Hunter aged 10, had some news just before Christmas that has rocked their world as they know it.

Katie has been diagnosed with stage 4 Stomach Cancer and is currently undergoing her only option which is Chemotherapy.  Katie is updating her blog with her experiences, if you want to check it out.

Jak Heath is collecting the funds to present to Katie. You will get over 20 digital designs from various companies just for donating £15 (to Jak Heath).  (appoximately $23 USD). Well worth the $23 for sure. You need to pop over to Jak Heath's site and see what she's offering.
Every time a donation is made you will be entered into a drawing for the prizes if you donate twice you will get 2 chances to win one of the prizes.   The drawing for the prizes will be made on February the 10th, and announced on Jak Heath's blog.

Because I'm guest designing at Doodle Pantry this month, I was given the set that Laurie donated to the cause.

Here is what I created

Katie and her Family would like to say a very special thank you to all of the artists that gave up their time to help make this happen. I say thank you too! I know what this family is going through. It's easier to understand as an adult why your parents get cancer but as a child, you just may not understand. My heart goes out to those boys. Sending prayers to Katie and Kevin and the boys. Hoping my little bit helps.

All Creatures Great and Small

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the CES Challenges blog this week...here is what I created for the challenge.

I used  one of the new images from the Sheep Squeeze set from the January 5th release! The inside reads "I love EWE"! Cheesy, I know but I don't care!!! It fits!!!

You should check out the challenge at CES...you could win a $15 gift certificate to spend at the store.
Thanks for checking it out!

Digi Day at Stamp Something

It's Digi Day at Stamp Something again and this is what I made for the DT samples...the only challenge was using a digital stamp....well, I think I can handle that!!

Do you get the play on words? "Tangled" is the new Disney movie about Rapunzel and this is the Rapunzel image from Sassy Studio Designs. Actually the banner is from SSD too...I added the lettering in PhotoShop Elements.

Dare to Be Thursday at SSD

It's Thursday so that means another Dare to Be Thursday Challenge!  The challenge for this week is "Something New" so my new things were new flowers, new pearls and a new technique (I've never made a Step Card before! I love them!)

Okay, so I hadn't seen the new "Alice in Wonderland" yet (DON'T JUDGE! I'm a little behind in the times okay!) but I finally watched it on New Years Eve! Well, I must say it's definitely in Tim Burton's style...the dark, "gothic" feel to the movie gives Alice a whole new persona! I really like it! It's like the one I remember as a kid (Not the Disney version)...I remember the Jabber-walkie! (It didn't look like the one in the new movie though!)

Anyways, I made a card for the Dare to Be Thursday challenge at Sassy Studio Designs this week...and it's a little "Burton-inspired"! Alice looks a little more gothic than her usual self! And I tried to copy the colours for the Mad Hatter and the Cheshire Cat...I wish now I had purchased all the Alice images before they were removed from the store! Maybe they will be re-vamped and come back (hint hint Lindsay!!)

Okay, so here's my card!

Don't forget to pop over to the SSD blog and link up your creation!

Doodle Pantry Release

Well it's release day at Doodle Pantry Stamps which means my GDT spot officially starts! These are the two cards I created for this release...the next one is on the 20th so watch for that coming up!

Ewe'r the Best Card
This one is done using the new Critter Tops (Sheep). I combined the sentiment inside the heart! I'm thinking I might make a bunch of these for my son's valentine's for his class!  It is a pre-coloured image which I LOVE when I'm in a pinch for a quick image! (Thank you Laurie!!)
The wool on the sheep's head is actually a Q-Tip end! I needed something to make it wooly and that's what came to mind!
I got the card base from the Dollar Store. I love them! They come already embossed and I just add the card front.

(Supplies: Basic Grey Nook & Pantry papers and button, Critter Top Pre-coloured image from Doodle Pantry, Distress Ink from Ranger, Q-Tip, Foam Tape, Card Base from Dollar Store)

Juicy News
This one I used the Critters All Tops and the Grapes Freebie and the sentiment from the Juicy Strawberries image. When I saw the worm, I wanted to have him coming out of some fruit.

(Supplies: Basic Grey Green at Heart papers, Felt flowers, Basic Grey Kioshi Button, images from Doodle Pantry)

These two cards are on the Doodle Pantry page for this release! I was so excited to see that!
Thanks for checking out my creations...I'll be posting some more Doodle Pantry creations this month so keep a watch for them! I got some other cute images and there'll be more on the 20th from the next release!

Guest Designer!

I got an email from Laurie over at Doodle Pantry today asking if I wanted to be a guest designer for them for the month of January! OF COURSE I SAID Y ES! I love the DP images! They are so sweet and cute! The birdie card I made for my application is still in its birdcage! (It's a much cleaner birdie than the real thing!!).  I actually forgot about this! It was over a month ago I applied for it!

I'm excited to create with the new DP images which are being released on Wednesdays (the 5th & the 20th) so make sure you check back to see what is being released.

You won't wanna miss it!
